Second Week of Advent

Theme: What do you do when your wish takes a long time to come true? You wait. Do you lose courage, or are you patient and think very hard about your wish?

1. Sing: Advent Song

2. Light two purple candles

3. Read prayer: Dear God, it is hard to wait. We are waiting and getting ready for Jesus' birthday. Help us be kind and patient while we wait. (Sing - Violet in the Snow)

4. Read: "The Christmas Story"

5. Sing: Come, Lord Jesus

6. Paint and/or draw comments in the diary. There is one page for each family. Every family member can paint/draw comments (their favourite part or how they were feeling during this special celebration)

7. Share the treat!

8. Return the contents to the bag. Refill the treats and return the bad to school the following day so the next child may have his/her turn. Thanks.
