First Week of Advent

Theme: Very often you cannot see anything in the dark. But look more carefully! You will find tiny lights somewhere. They bring hope. Think of something beautiful!

1. Sing: Advent Song

2. Light one purple candle

3. Read prayer: Dear God, you send your bright dawn to light up the lives of all men and women. Please, God, help us to be strong to do what you ask. Help us to make Christ welcome when he comes this Christmas. (Sing - Violet in the Snow)

4. Read: "The Christmas Story"

5. Sing: Come Lord Jesus

6. Print and/or draw comments in the dairy. There is one page for each family. Every family member can print/draw comments (their favourite part or how they were feeling during this special presentation)

7. Share the treat!

8. Return the contents to the bag. Refill the treats and return the bag to school the following day so that the next child may have his/her turn. Thanks.
